This article will explore the vast differences between being a "missionary" and a "marketeer".  First, let's just state the basic accepted definitions of both, as can be found with the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

Missionary -a person undertaking a mission and especially a religious mission,

Used in a sentence (drawn from recent news cast) - missionaries who strove to convert natives to Christianity.

Marketeer - a specialist in promoting or selling a product or service

Used in a sentence (drawn from recent news cast) - One hitch was that other limbic capitalists, including counterfeiters and black marketeers, could also play the additives game.

The following is submitted as excerpts from the LDS missionary training manuals.

You have been called to “invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end”
When you have questions or concerns, your first source of help is your Father in Heaven. Seek His guidance through the scriptures and personal revelation.
“They did fast and pray oft, and did wax stronger and stronger in their humility, and firmer and firmer in the faith of Christ, unto the filling their souls with joy and consolation, yea, even to the purifying and the sanctification of their hearts, which sanctification cometh because of their yielding their hearts unto God” (Helaman 3:35). Additional scriptures: 2 Nephi 4:30–35; Alma 17:2–3; D&C 39:1–13; 50:26–29; 58:26–33; 64:34

The following is submitted as evidence that what Mr. Berger is engaged in - is nothing more than a "Marketing" scheme, using the name of Joseph F Smith, Great Grandson of Joseph Smith Jr, along with the eight American "witnesses".   Here Mr. Berger coaches his "Marketeers" in the game, even going so far as to reminding them to "say anything", just in the end don't forget to throw in the name of Joseph F Smith.

Brothers, I bite because I can't get in ... Since I am not allowed ... Yesterday I mentioned the importance of using the name of Joseph Fredrick Smith the great-grandson of Joseph the Prophet and 8 American Witnesses ... Because they have weight if well informed ... However this post requires it now ... I see a man question about the origin of the book ... A reluctance occurs to mention that only after much debate John mentions Mauricio ... Who is it? Mauricio to present the book to the world?
Nobody ... That's why God called Joseph F ... To use his name (emarketing) to promote his work ... Please read what I write ... Yesterday I talked about it ... When asked about the prophet say anything but in the end point out that God called a great-grandson of Joseph Smith to bring the book to light.

Mauricio Berger

Irmãos eu me mordo por não poder me meter...

More excerpts from the LDS Missionary Manual:

Strive to represent the Lord according to the highest standards of obedience and conduct. Keep your words, thoughts, and actions in harmony with the message of His gospel. Righteous conduct will influence your effectiveness as a missionary and your personal salvation. Your conduct also affects the trust and confidence nonmembers, members, and other missionaries have in you. Conduct yourself at all times in such a way that everyone who sees you will recognize you as a representative of Jesus Christ.

Here we can read Mr. Berger stating that even though Joseph F Smith is no longer "with" them, they are told to continue "using his name" as if he IS with "them".  That seems like an unscrupulous "marketing" plan, rather than being truthful.

I say it was Joseph F who walked away from us, yet God called him to promote the sealed book ... So he is MY VOICE door ... And unless God says not to use his name anymore I will still use as of SUPER importance ... Because it's more WEIGHT to say that a great-grandson of Joseph Smith in Missouri brought to light a nobody's sealed book named Mauricio Berger ... And I know what the LDS church says about the Smith family, that they nor are there any more in the restoration ... One more reason to show that the church lied ... Hug and good work. May the Spirit enlighten your minds and light your hearts ...
Mauricio Berger
